    Early Kick-Offs

I was just checking our fixture list for this season. What stood out is that 6 of our next 8 Premiership games will be early kick-offs (12.45 or 13.00 UK Time). This includes the two crucial away games against Chelsea and Manchester United.

I was wondering what you guys think about this. This is good for me, personally, because it means I don't have to stay up all night to watch the game. 12.45 PM translates to 8.45 PM here in Seoul - a perfect time to watch the Pool.

In football terms, I am not so sure. We did reasonably well last season in our early kick-off games didn't we? My gut reaction was that the early kick-off might help us against Chelsea and Manchester United because it will 'slow' the game down. But then we did reasonably well in our night games against Chelsea in the CL, and got thumped 4-1 in the early kick-off game last year...

Personnally i'd prefer it if we played all our games at 3.00pm.

I sometimes feel our players are not fully wakened up at lunch time and its not until the second half until we really get going.

Don't really like the fact our next 8 prem matches are early kick offs.

Great for you all the same

I don't know what your problem is but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce

      You have a point there...

That is just what happened last Saturday...

I hate morning kick-offs, especially when they are away games. I can't remember seeing that many really good games at that time, I never feel like the players are quite at 100% and I think it puts the away side at an even bigger disadvantage. Plus if they are Sunday games I'm always at work until 4pm, which really pisses me off

Plus the fact Sheff Utd had their first match in the PL against Liverpool.

If they wern't gonna get up for this then they may as well have forgotton about the whole thing.

Tell me about it, every blasted week too. Therefore I'm in the all kick-offs should be at 3pm on Saturday camp, with one televised game only at 4.05pm on a Sunday (5 mins run from work to pub). And next time the Premier league / Sky phone me for scheduling advice that's exactly what I'll tell them

12:45 kick offs for London derbys or any game between two clubs in the North West I have no problem with. However when Liverpool v West Ham kicks off at 12:45 I think it's a bit unfair for the traveling fans and indeed me.

Absolutely, local derbies on police advice kicking off early I can handle, games between sides 200 miles apart at lunch time shows absolutely no consideration to the travelling fans whatsoever :whatever:

Early kick offs have the worst atmosphere of any games. Eerily silent and subdued

The West Ham game is on PremPlus and the derby on 9th September is on PremPlus, which I'm a bit surprised about. Thought that would be a big enough match to be on SS1. They're not really supposed to put the bigger matches on Pay Per View

But with us playing so many ealy games could give us an advantage. We`ll be used to it, while it would be "new" to our opponents.

                              That is a good point

It is hard to say but, I think playing a lot of these early games will make us better off football-wise. Although judging from the comments here, most fans would prefer a normal 3pm kickoff from a personal viewpoint.
