Tell me about it. I'm coming up on the coach overnight, arriving at around 6am :s

Plus it means you have to be in the pub from midday to get a decent spot and the rest of the day has to be written off due to the beer you drink. You'll never stop at 3 pints, plus you probably have a couple of games of pool while watching Soccer Saturday...

...actually reading that back I think I love early kick offs now!

I hate early kick offs, but can understand Everton and ManUre. The thing is it means im in the pub at 3 o'clock instead of 5, which means i end up even more of a wreck on Sat night. I hope Sky will pay for my liver transplant.
I know its little, but thats David Banner. Just wait untill you see the Incredible Hulk

Man...at least you guys can go to a pub to watch!

Here in Korea, I'm more or less stuck with TVants. Cable TV has some coverage of the Premiership, but it is dominated by Manchester United (Ji Sung Park) and Tottenham Hotspurs (Yong Pyo Lee). Sucks big time...

And since there is very little demand, hardly any pubs have the Premiership on TV.

              Police! Hah!

It was good to see on Saturday that the SOUTH YORKS bunch are still as ****in incompetent and thick as they ever were!

Fat Female Cop: Can I see your ticket?

              Lasty: Sas, where's the tickets?

              Me: Here. Halliwells.

FFC: Oh yeah that's this great long queue here. (Points at a queue about 150 metres long). Get in that. You'll miss the beginning of the game.

              Me: That's home fans

              FFC: No it's not

Me: Why's that fella got a Sheff Utd shirt on then?

FFC: Brenda! Why's that fella got an Home shirt on? That's the away queue isn't it?

Brenda (Old FFC): Oh I dunno. I'll radio someone and ask.

With that Lasty returns having wandered off and says "Halliwells is down here - no queue at all"

FFC: Oh you can't go down there - this is your queue.

              Me: No it's ****in not!

              FFC: Excuse me!

With that we went off down where we should have been while the Old FFC was still on her radio!

Well, out here in Oregon, that translates to a 4:45 am kickoff, and due to rights changes and whatnot it also means that those matches are showing only on Setanta, which is not widely available on most cable and satellite systems here, and subsequently I can't crawl out of bed and lie around in my pyjamas watching the Reds. The only place then to watch those matches is at the pub on a same day delay at about 3pm, which means I have to go to great pains to avoid the score.

My first experience with this new regime, was on Saturday. I met a few of my fellow Reds down at the pub. I was watching a bit of the Newcastle match while waiting to ask the bartender to switch the channel, and they flashed the score along the bottom of the screen. How frustrating. I kept everyone else in the dark when they showed up, but it really put a damper on my afternoon.

All day I was in agony thinking about it. Usually I just can't wait, and when we win it's great to be able to "anticipate" a good thumping. I dunno though. I might try it again next week. I'm a bit of a masochist sometimes.

You serious? I don't know about that. Sure the premiership has a considerable following in Asia-Pacific but it is still a small share of the global audience.

I rather think it was more to do with Sky/Premiership wanting to fit in as many LIVE games as possible.
