Oh the irony.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostSome of you plebs make me chuckle.
If it is such utter bollocks then why bother getting so angry about it all. Ignore it all, dont trawl through eight page threads on the subject.
Personally, I think it's obvious something is 'up' inside the club.
I dont think Rafa is leaving, but stranger things have happened in football and only a fool would dismiss the rumour outright.
I laughed out loud when JonnyH said Fowler was coming back.

There is no problem Mark, I just thought it was a little suspicious as how quick you got here to this post. I wouldn't be human if I didnt think there was something a bit coincidental about that, given the fact you only have a hand full of posts over here.Originally posted by mark mc View PostI posted it on SCM and quoted some responses on here,Whats the problem?Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

So I should shut up and say nothing?Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostMark has got a lot of things correct over the past couple of years.
He's just passing on info that he has heard. That's all.

However, its now "Time line time"
Jonny H posts that God will return
It becomes a standing joke
Then it leaks out elsewhere
Media gets it, Fowler is returning
Fowler re-signs
In this case
1st - http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp...oid=2118187493
then this - http://www.est1892.co.uk/forums/show...99&postcount=1
then Mark's scm post.
Ok, so we've had it on good authority that people at SKy, the BBC and the England camp are talking to every tom, dick and harry about it..... and yet not a single word in the main media. Whatsoever. Or from any established reliable posters on any of the forums, And its due in what, 36 hours now.
This is exactly the same as that stuff that went round about Gerrard's missus not so long ago imo, and perpetuating it is bad
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

I didnt, was obvious we needed a striker who could take their chances, because nobody seemed to be doing that, I am sure Rafa had seen plenty of what Fowler could do in his revision of LFC.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostI laughed out loud when JonnyH said Fowler was coming back.
Also, Fowler at the time was playing very well for City, I seem to remember Fowler having a great game against MAn United right before we signed him on a free working very hard in the process. Also, Rafa obviously wanted to bring a bit of a feel good factor to the club aswell as a proven goal scorer and in Fowler he knew he had a player who would give everything for the cause and contracts were never going to be a probel.
I was delighted to hear it to be honest, and I dont think the two stories are comparable.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
