    So who should start our 1st league game?

    So realistically, going by the players that Rafa likes and the ones we have been linked with, what would be your ideal team be next season and who would you sell to fund those deals?

    Here is mine...

    Quaresma Alonso Macherano Simao

    I'd sell Bellamy, Crouch and Sissoko, to raise about £30M.

    Alternively if we don't get E'to I'd go for Tevez and Owen....

        Are Quaresma, Simao, Eto'o and Tevez grafters, because according to you Rafa doesn't go for flair players

            tad overambitious with your team there. thats a 90 million outlay of new players...don't think so

            plus the fact we don 't know who we are playing.

                Well that aside, it kind of goes against Rashid's original statement: "going by the players that Rafa likes and the ones we have been linked with".

                If we can just choose anyone we want, here is my team:

                        Thats not allowing for Alves though, who I think Alves could be Finnan's replacement. In much the way Utd's 2 signings cant replace Scholes and Giggs immediately, if we get Alves I think we'll see him play a mixture of right wing and right back, but will eventually take Finnan's spot, who at 31 can't be our first choice for too much longer

                        Perfecto, would be -

                        Gerrard can swap with Lucas, who by all accounts (tiny bit of info available on the web) can play on the wing also

                            Just believe and you never know what will happen.

                            According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
