    Some reality

I don't want to burst any bubbles but there seems to be a misguided belief that your two new American owners will break the bank for you. I think your ex-chairman seriously ****ed up when he chose these two over DIC (not that it had anything to do with the small matter of £8m of course!).

This is a geared investment and they need to generate a return in excess of the borrowing interest rate for it to be financially viable. And they can't do this by investing in depreciating (for the most part) assets like players. The stadium is the key for them, not players.

I think they've played you all for fools. You may get a token transfer (with payments spread over a long period) but look at Manchester now and they're miles ahead (and stretching it further). And your CEO Rick Parry too busy playing politics to get anything done; the only person who seems to want to do anything is your manager.

I feel sorry for you as I see the way you support your team and I feel you deserve better. It wouldn't surprise me if Mr Benitez decided to leave.

          Are you a Liverpool fan?

Why do you think they are not the men for the job? They will look stupid if they don't back up their words with actions.

IMO for a variety of reasons DIC would have been better.

Well we're going to find out this summer if they're going to deliver for us and I'll suspend judgement on G+T until we've seen how much money they've made available to the manager. I'll then judge the manager on what he does with that money - It's far too early to say anything otherwise at this point but at the very least up to this point they've both certainly 'talked the talk' and now we're going to find out if they're going to 'walk the walk'.

I don't like the fact that Hicks is mates with Bush. I read somewhere that Hicks made Bush millions.

What a **** and yet i feel i have to try and support him because he owns our club......terrible mix of emotions, it hurts my head.

They have said time and time again that they are gonna make us the greatest club in the world with the best stadium in the world.

If they only deliver token transfers they are gonna have a very hard time as owners of our club.

Same emotion for me too but we must always remember that our club was run for the best part of 100 years by Conservatives but British ones - having a yank 'Tory' in charge is no different really.

**** me is it the weak of WUM this one. First we get Rashid with hid drivel then some jammy YANK who jumped on Manures bandwagon sticking his nose where it does not belong.
Go back to the wee hick town where you come from lad and start learning the sport well. :whatever:

I don't know why any of you even bother answering a guy making this kind of statement as his first post. It's so obviously a wind up.

Go to hell who do you think you are as if you have some sort of insider connection to the new owners. As if the scums are free of debt, remember the glazers borrowed vast amount of money from hedge funds investments and it looks like the american economy is heading into a recession and i will luv it when the market tanks and it would be awesome when they face with crippling debts, you scum loving tosser

                          Hi Brett,

Which Soccer team do you go to visit?

and where do you get the misguided belief from.

Yes, I've been a Liverpool fan for a long time. I'm not going to justify myself to anybody though. And I've no idea what a WUM is!

I think DIC would have had a greater desire to be the best and, more importantly, to be SEEN to be the best. I believe G & H are more profit orientated (although I expect at least one big signing...not because they want to but because they have to).

Basically, you don't make a profit on a football club if you splash out big money on players.

Honestly what does the yank even know about english football let alone Liverpool.
