I was on RAWK a couple of days ago - ****in horrible place I know - but did anybody else see the thread about the mancs two new signings? Some of our lot embarrassed themselves. Anderson and Nani were never targets for us yet they were whining like spoilt children, that Parry hadn't made a move to sign either of them.

It's only just turned June yet we've got daily posts of reports with little or no foundation scaremongering as to Rafa's finances. Remind me who have Chelsea signed then, or Arsenal? And we've already brought in one of the best young players in Brazil don't forget. Parry's obviously sitting at his desk doing **** all.

I just wonder if the vibe around here would be massively different had we not lost the European Cup final 2 weeks ago, a game which we deserved to win no less.

So be patient and ****in grow up.

I think that's a little naive. If these two guys were new to the sporting world then your points would be fair, but the clubs that they already own seem to have stagnated somewhat and the fans seem pretty unhappy. What makes you think that they're going to provide more support for us?

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

The thing is mate, my suspicion is that Bascombe is merely the mouthpiece for what many at LFC really think, including Rafa.

Anyone who can't see that there were serious issues between Rafa and H&G is kidding themselves. Rafa has twice publically criticised H&Gn unheard of for an LFC manager. In fact the new owners have suffered more public criticsm in 3 months from the manager than previous owners have had in 30 years. that in itself speaks volumes.

Its not the fact we've bought no one of note yet that worries me, its the fact that I feel Rafa is still unhappy. That shows all is not right behind the scenes. A club that is split at the top will achieve little.

I knew nothing of H&G when they arrived but they've said all the right things so far but its becoming more a concern with each passing day that this may be a facade. Even if they do cough up the dosh, its took one hell of alot of arm twisting to get them there.

the trouble is now we are stuck with H&G for as long as they choose. If they prove as good as their word, then great. If not we are in major trouble

I for 1 am pretty concerned right now. I hope H&G prove me wrong but I'll believe it when I see it.

I think there is one problem that is making everyone get pissed off, and that is the fact that our manger and saviour () has already come out and lambasted the club about not getting their arses into gear.

From what Rafa is saying it seems that this club is costing a bit more than they had thought and I'm not sure they realised how quick you have to act inthe transfer market.

Lets face it, we can dress it up all we want, but if everything really was fine, Rafa would not be spouting off would he now?

So we now accept there is or was a problem. The crux of the matter is what is it? Was it as I mentioned above or something completely different? I find myself checking NewsNow for articles coming in to give me a clue, only to realise that there is nothing credible out there.

Chris Bascombe under GH was a man in the know. We all know how GH manipulated the young Bascombe into doing his dirty work with regards to Fowler. But Benitez doesn't care for the local media, he goes all out with the national papers and tells people sod all. Well, nearly sod all............

............Which leads me nicely onto our next point. The only journo with any clue about Rafa is one of his good mates, Guillem Balague. Rafa has used him a few times to get what he wants. And you can take it as the truth when Ballague says that Rafa is targeting the creme de la creme off the Spanish league.

So as Rafa is targeting Eto'o, Villa and Torres et all, surely that shows he has cash to spend. My word to the wise is this, most of our first choice targets are in Spain. If a week after that league finishes we haven't signed a star striker to blow most of us away (always someone who wont rate them :whatever then I will be MAJORLY SUPRISED.

As I have said all along, the Yanks will have to put their money where their mouth is and only then will I be won over. Got to say that initially I was ****ed off when DIC pulled out but that was down to that **** Parry for leading us all down the garden path. Hopefully by the time we play our first pre season games we will all be glad we got the Yanks in.

I would bet that the £ bashing the $ hasn't helped the Yanks much either. It would make the prices of everything they had predicted skyrocket.

If Guillem Balague is in the know, which I think's fair, he says that we "DON'T have millions and millions to spend this summer". Or at least that's what he said last Sunday on SSN so I fail to see how we can be targetting the creme de la creme of European football with limited funds.

Balague has proved that he isn't in the know. I can't remember one single transfer that he said will happen that actually happened and that he was the first one to break that news.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Well all I can say to that is that Ballague is either contradicting himself or working the press for Rafa.

Either way, I have my opinion of this topic and until I see a decent bit of proof I'll not be changing it. I enjoy the debate on this forum, but in this instance there is no room for debate as none of us have a clue. We can only make guesses, which in my book are not really worth arguing over.

I see Rashid gets lots of stick for being a doom merchant, but there is no one on here who can actually say he's talking bollocks in this situation. I hope he is proved wrong in August, as I'm sure he hopes the same.

Thought he mentioned the prospect of Morientes, and also mentioned we were after Alves.

He was also the one who mentioned the prspect of Eto'o, Villa or Torres signing this summer, putting them in that order of Rafas wishes.

If he knows sod all AFII we may as well stop dreaming now.

Ballague mentioned those, and Bascombe mentioned Bent. Lets see who is in the know.

We`ll see,he maybe knew something in the past but i think Rafa closed his supply line. He`s printed nothing exceptional in the last 2 yrs.

He`s also paid to print stories by the BRITTISH PRESS,not exactly LFC friendly!!!!!
