I think because everyone had tickets over there, most of the tension was caused by the severe lack of tickets over here and over there on the Blanck market, tickets were everywhere in Istanbul.
And everyone was too tired having walked 5 miles to the ****in ground08-09 Dirk monitor

I actually never said that, I said that anyone who accepts what UEFA has to say is as bad in that there is a big difference.Originally posted by lfcruleus View PostWith all due respect mate thats bollocks until the report is actually released if it even exists. To suggest that I because i do simply not accept that anyone had the right to try and enter somewhere they had no legal right to be, no matter what the security, makes me as bad as that person is just daft. You are implying that these people had no choice but to try and enter simply because the oppurtunity was there, It is a reflection on a decline in society and you suggest that i accept that?
We, on an internet forum, will never change any of this and UEFA are covering thier arses but this is no reason to suggest the behaviour was acceptable, if we do then it will happen again and again until something bad happens.
I really do believe we are entering a dangerous period again for English fans abroad, when something serious does happen i do not want it to be our club, I believe because of our history and integrity as a club and of our support we should know better, thats all.
As i have already said there is a way for LFC to combat this slur but they need to grow a set of balls that they did not possess when the allocations were announced this year, along with the G14 they should take the game from UEFA and give it back to the fans, sadly i think those days are gone.
Why do I say they are as bad because they are prepared to wear blinkers and not challenge what needs to be changed and therefore accepting that this behaviour will continue at UEFA's showcase until they accept that they ****ed up and have done for years.
In fairness to you, you have pretty much said that yourself, but we cannot expect that 40,000 people will all be perfectly behaved and the tension regarding tickets and the opportunities through lack of security all lead to what happened, rushing the gates was not acceptable and I am not proud of any Liverpool fan for that but ultimately this lies with UEFA.
How come this type of thing doesn't occur each week in the UK because of the systems put in place.
Prevention is better than cure as I have said.

I don't agree mate the Milan fans are worse than most, the difference being they wouldn't have turned up with 40,000 fans for the final.Originally posted by lfcruleus View PostYes and i agree, but i wouldnt nick someones car if it was unlocked and neither did i do anything wrong in Athens, that argument works both ways. It depends on your principles i guess. It is a reflection on society more than anything, and sad that it is accepted by most on here.
The stadium was not suited for LFC and our fanbase if it was say a Barce/Milan final there would have been no trouble, says more about our fanbase than i like im afraid.

Did anyone else see the interview they did with Gaylord?
The guy doing the interview was a tabloid scum hack of the first water, he was asking loaded questions urging Gaylord to put the boot in - which he didn't too his credit, still a fat nob though.I hate Polanski

Yeah that was my point the stadium was fine for 17000 fans each side but not suitable for the size of our travelling support.08-09 Dirk monitor

I agree with you. Don't forget I was in Athens and I saw some of the behaviour that went on so I don't for one second think Liverpool fans are angels and they aren't at fault for the way they behaved BUT UEFA are to blame for this and they are trying to shift it onto us and thats just a c*nts trick and they should be held accountable for their part in all this.Originally posted by lfcruleus View PostYes but there is still an acceptable level of behaviour, Let me ask you something?

I agree, and i know you were there, Uefa will pay eventually but only if the club stands up and i dont think they will, unfortunately Uefa are accountable to noone unless the big clubs pull the plug but the G14 has no teeth or balls.Originally posted by Red_hot View PostI agree with you.
