We all kid ourselves every season that we have a few bob to spend. Every season we never do have serious money. The reports Bascombe has come out with in the last week or so are making me think we are all kidding ourselves again this season.

Lets be fair here, IF Bascombe was saying all this as smoke and mirrors, who would be reading the Echo from Seville and Barcelona to see it? His reports are not sitting on the fence, they are coming across as pretty blunt to me!

Also wouldnt the smoke and mirrors have an adverse affect on the selling of players? Villa would see we are in need of money to complete deals so would hold out with just a £8million bid for Bellamy.

Swings and roundabouts. Bascombe is telling it like it is. I'm not expecting anything major this summer.

I agree too many conspiracy theories, I think Bascombe is reporting what he knows or what he thinks he knows at face value. Anyway we still almost got 3 months to go, but the initial outlook is not very positive in terms of acquiring a World Class player if the media is to be beleived but who the fcuk knows.

Right, so all the Rafa stuff a week or 2 ago was a figment of my imagination then was it. Everything is hunky dory at LFC because you say so is mate.

Its clear from Rafa's outbursts that everything was far from ok, Bascombe is clearly saying that things are still not right.

Also just because the Spanish league hasn't finished doesn't mean deals can't be in place and there are plenty of other leagues where we have targets apart from spain.

I'd suggest mate that you're the bellend if you think Bascombe doesn't know the score at LFC.

Point of note. I did not state that all was Hunky Dory at LFC.

Bascombe like most journos puts 2 + 2 together to get a meal ticket, rather than get of his fat arse and do an honest days work for a living. He might have had some decent links earlier, but I would hesitate to believe he has now.

With regard to "Outbursts" from Rafa, he is on record as saying to the owners "back up your words" this hardly constitutes an outburst.

With regard to Spain, it has a large bearing on our activity, as more than one of our current squad is linked with moves to wards Spain, until they are confirmed it will affect other deals.

One thing I cannot understand at the moment is why Rafa's transfer funds where not in place weeks ago!!! Why does he have to put pressure on G&H after the CL final. I thought these guys were model profesionals when it came to running "Franchises"??????

Apparently theres some red tape about releasing funds because they've only just bought the club, i'm not sure how it works but that's what i've heard

Ye Paul found his comments a bit harsh meself and poorly timed. He should have aired them behind closed doors. I can understand why he did it though. Fingers crossed deals are in place for his spanish based targets!!
