Still, we can afford to wait a month or two as long as the stadium is bigger and, even more important, expandable!

The biggest positive thing coming out of this, is that the council are actually being positive towards the project as opposed to being cautionary.

If the council want this to happen, there'll be less issues getting it through planning.

The probem culd be with either local residents or the office of the deputy prime minister if it is called in.

It's such good news this stadium re-design. I hated the original plans - a souless bowl, in keeping with Pride Park, the Riverside, the Reebok etc.....straight out a stadium contruction kit. And to stick it at 61000 non expandable was suicidal. I know it's all been said to death, but **** it, I'm glad someone with common sense has had the balls to review it all and make it better.

New Planning Application - It all depends on the extent of the changes from the original planning application & whether the LFC/ G&H Planning Consultants can classify these changes as a 'Minor Amendment'

Obviously this is all down to the ability of the LFC/ G&H Planning Consultants to be able to persuade the council & push it through the Local Authority as such... not easy though

The Local Authority then has the ability to Approve/Refuse it under their own Delegated Powers - it doesn't go through the same procedures as the full application so avoids any Govt/Deputy PM involvement

It all depends on the types of changes ie are they major changes to the infrastructure/design/structural/massing or superficial design & material changes - until we see the plans it's hard to make a judgement

For instance, we've just finished a residential scheme in Manchester where the original Planning Approval was for 12 storeys - once Planning Permission had been granted we went back & applied for 4 more storeys 'under the radar' as it were via Minor Amendment - we got planning without any problem.
On the flip side, I've had in the past alterations to small kitchen extensions refused via the same method, so it's hard to judge until we've seen the extents/scale of the changes

F**king annoying having to wait isn't it?!
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

              Batman

              F*** off!!!

The best part is, having our own unique stadium and more tickets will be available.

The designers seem to be pretty good at what they doo. if its anything like the dallas cowboys stadium then it will be one of the best in the world.

Reds new stadium plans to be revealed

Reds new stadium plans to be revealed
                  Jun 6 2007

LIVERPOOL FC co-owner Tom Hicks has revealed that new “spectacular” plans for the proposed stadium at Stanley Park will be submitted before the end of this month.

A team of US architects have completely re-drawn plans for the new stadium that will create a spectacular home for the club.

It is likely the plans will be delivered to the council offices at Millennium House around June 28 to enable planning officers to assess the revised scheme.

Liverpool council’s regeneration executive member, Mike Storey, said the city had “struck oil” when the club was taken over by Mr Hicks and his business partner George Gillette.

In a US interview, Mr Hicks said he is keen to show fans the finished design.

“It’s spectacular. and I can’t wait for everybody to see it. I think our fans will love it, it’s very creative architecture, very contemporary but also unique to Liverpool. It is all centred around the Kop.”

The club’s new 68,000 capacity home is expected to be finished in time for the start of the 2010 season.

Which means it is going to take some time to get approval, starting to wonder weather we will be in by 2010 season.
