The same is true for the fans. There are more reports of problems with football fans because there are more football fans. Simple as IMO.
Of course you do, and you can only talk about your own experiences. Unfortunately I've lived in 3 different areas over the last 15 years and each one has had a local rugby team of a bunch of assholes. You need to work in the pub industry too as that's when you see it all first hand.

I'm sure some of the rugby fans will say its just bad luck, but the difference between the 2 sets of players is that there is a more thuggish element with the rugby players, because of their "physical" game....The footballers were always more interested in chatting women up.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Yes I know, I wasn't really referring to you mate just giving my take on the discussion.
The biggest difference for me is respect for the officials.

Now a lot of rugby fans will jump up and down and say how their players respect officials more. Well there are 2 ways of looking at that. Rugby players certainly respect decisions more than footballers but Rugby players try and get away with really dispicable acts on the rugby field and therefore have less respect for the officials in my opinion.
One thing I have ALWAYS said football should embrace is the sin bin concept.
Players who dive, kick the ball away or protest a decision should be sent to the sin bin for 10 minutes. Penalise the team, give the opponents an advantage encourage 10 minutes of all out attack but don't ruin the game as a spectacle.
If we had the sin bin, there would be less diving and less abuse of refs IMO.

I grew up in Wigan and moved out when I was about 20

Can categorically say that ANY Wigan Rugby players i've ever had the misfortune to meet have been genuine areseholes

          Thats the difference

Footballers off the field are pretty much harmless. Primadonna's, up their own arses, think cos they're loaded they're the **** but still, harmless.

Rugby players are just pricks, IMO
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
