If Crouchie was called Petr Crouchinho or if he was a handsome ****er he would be up there with the best of them.
But the fact that he's an ugly, gangly **** with a typical boring english name he is disrespected by other fans and the press. But at least we all love our Crouchie and thats the main thing and it will be a very sad day if he leaves this summer.

To be fair Crouch wasn't used enough by Rafa last season, especially away from home against teams that pack the defence out. IMO our away form suffered because of this. Like most Liverpool fans i think he comes in for too much stick but he does need a clever link-up player or goal poacher type alongside him though.

I also think our strikers came in for more abuse than they should of due to the lack of goals from midfielders last season, which didn't help us.

Crouch v Berbatov, interestingly i don't remember Berb scoring many with his head in fact the more i think about it these two could form a leathal partnership, no better man than the Berb to crack in Crouchies knock downs the mans got some technique.

Alot of tits in here were moaning about his price when he signed for us back in '05. 7 million pounds for a lanky/beanpole/third goalpost striker? 'yer havin' a laugh.

Thing is, even when he wasn't scoring in his first season I could see what he was bringing to the team. I was chuffed when he got his first goals and since then he's been pretty prolific on the whole when he's started, for both club and country.

When I watched Crouch yesterday, it was really sad, as it gave me the nagging suspicion that if we had used him more against Milan, we would be champions again.

Crouch (and I remeber clear as yesterday how disappointed I felt when I read the JH thread on KT about him signing) has improved tremendously whilst at LFC. I think I`m in the minority, but I think if we are to win the EPL, him and his goalsoring form is key. With supply like Beckhams from either wing, he`ll be a nuisance at least, even a threat in the air.

And his knock downs will set up > goals for a fast partner (not Kuyt) upfront. I really think our poor form last season was alot to do with us not using PC enough

Credit where credit is due, for the limited appearances and time on the pitch he's done extremely well, however he does frustrate a little at times maybe better service will help him alright, same could be said for Kuyt.
