I thought we would only end up adding Voronin, Levia, Insua and Leto to our squad whilst securing the futures of Gerrard, Alonso, Reina, Carra and Momo and getting the new stadium off the ground but the way you are talking we're all doomed
I don't mean we'll get relegated - I'm talking about off the pitch...the reaction of the fans and Gillett & Hicks having their integrity smashed to pieces.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Thank God we snapped up The Crow when we did.

Hopefully the rumoured deal for Marlon Harewood on a free goes through as well.

I guess we should have seen it coming, the "player specific budget" the playing down of any title hopes by Gillette.

All joking aside, the reasoning behind his signing is much clearer now.

Didn't the gillett take over almost happen over night though.
They asked to see the books, and the club were forced to let them inspect the books, we knew about Gillett way before he actually took over. Anyone can guess he will be the new owner IMO.
As for money to spend, I don't think Gillett and Hicks are as silly to test us the fans and Rafa this way.
As I said before, they know Rafa is one of the top coaches in the world, if not the top coach. They know they have to invest in the squad to get a return, loosing Rafa would cost them more if they didn't spend, and they know it.
Money will be available for transfer IMO, there is no way Rafa would accept crap after his outburst.
I know there has been no big transfer evidence yet from us. But atleast wait until a week into the end of the season in Spain before we start hearing anything of real substance. You would think Rafa has a close eye on Spain.
I could see us spending atleast £45m this summer (including player sales).
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

I am not worried in the slightest about LFC this summer.

I've accepted our second raters tag anyway, so second place will be a good season next term.
