    So the positives

Current players signing new long term contracts.

We are signing some top class youth players and competeing with the likes of Milan, Real etc... for the likes of Lucas, that was a coup.

New stadium plans to be shown, looking forward to this. Im sure it will look class

We have a great manager pure winner as has been amplified in the last few weeks, he wants the best for the best.

We will have a healthy budget and im sure we will get good players im sure of it.

Its too depressing so far this summer, lets just wait and see how i pans out and make judgements there. Im sure all in the know want Liverpool to suceed and are doing there best for us. Fingers crossed

Now lets all go on holidays and but lots of Sun Cream and dodgey looking shorts

finding it hard to stay upbet, certainly not as bad as some of the others on here, but still, a signing would pep all of us up a bit

It's actually doing my nut in - and I'm trying valiantly to stay positive.

But it's getting harder as the days go by...........

It sure is but when you see that we are been linked with that Rento guy and it looks like 9-12 million and you say to yourself that if we are willing to spend that much on a "unknown" player then we gotta have some money.

All will be told when La Liga is finished, i think nearly all our potential signings play there

I'm positive and until I get 100% confirmation that we're up the swanny I'll continue to stay positive. I will not be scared to vent my frustration on the first of September if things haven't turned out as we hope. Until then everything we hear is idle speculation.

                      I hear you kurt

But indulge me for a moment. Have we reached the point where success is now defined by which players we sign in the transfer window?
Will you really be jumping up and down in Spetember if we've won our first few games at a canter?
I'm not having a go at you kurt, but surely the priority should be the team and success on the field, not the success in signing players. I think some people have somehow got their priorities confused.

But considering all the things you've listed, so far it hasn't been a depressing summer to date.

You know what's depressing? Simple minded idiots who believe anything they read, then get themselves worked up into a frenzy because we haven't blown £50m on players, yet it's still only mid June.

For what it's worth I couldn't agree more. I'm more excited by what we do on the pitch than what we do in the transfer market. It can be frustrating watching our rivals being able to splash the cash at times though while we seem to be a bit behind in that aspect.

I think what some fans have done though, including myself to a degree, is get their hopes built up for 4 or 5 real quality signings like Eto'o, Henry, Tevez, Silva etc... to name a few. Alot of fans are looking for a signal of intent from the new owners and have been concerned with some of the whispers of unrest and Rafa' outburst.

If we won our first few games of the season I'd be jumping for joy because it's our poor starts that have cost us dearly in recent years.

I do however feel that being succesful in the transfer market can lead to success on the pitch to an extent. Better players means, in most cases but not all, a better team with more chance of success.

I wouldn't be concerned if we never signed anyone as long as we continued to improve on the pitch.

I'm actually quite positive about things. Chelsea look less likely to splash big bucks than they have been in ages. Man United have looked to the future with their signings. So we may well have the pick of the talent that we can afford and who want to come to the PL.

We have a great manager who seems to feel that at last he has a good solid base from which to build - shown by the number of core players who got contract extensions.

We have at least CL + TV money to spend.

It's not even the start of the transfer window yet and we have signed a top Brazilian talent and got a new feeder team.
