If we signed Forlan for £16 million....

would it change your opinion of Rafa?

IMO, I don't think it would ever happen. But as it is clear we can't afford a top bracket striker, if Forlan did come in, would you start to believe me when I say we will never win the league with Rafa in charge?

If Rafa thinks he is good enough then I'd have to trust him. Having said that the thought of Forlan playing for us makes me want to top myself!

No. But if we sign Forlan and he does turn out be ****, then my opinion of Rafa may alter.
      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

If that happend I would get 'Gus' tattooed on my forehead and 'Hiddink' on my dick....or maybe the other way around for practical reasons

Why on earth would you trust Rafa when presumably you have seen for your own eyes how bad Forlan is capable of ebing in the EPL? Didn't he take over 30 games to score for united? And if you want to see a bad miss......

If we buy him...Rafa out, no questions asked.

I think £35m for Eto'o is way too much but if Forlan is worth £16m then Eto'o will go for £70m.

My faith in Rafa would be severely dented.

If that does happen I would begin to seriously quesiton Rafa's judgment, and his sanity for that matter. I know the board shouldn't intervene in matters like this, but if he is serious about spending £16 on Forlan, never mind £16m, if I was on the board I'd seriously consider vetoing the move.

The Forlan speculation I am sure is either a smoke-screen or a ruse by Rafa.

My worry is who is out there that we could get. Villa, Torres, Eto'o, Tevez, all out of our league i'm afraid. Darren Bent, Jermain Defoe? I really am starting to panic, I don't care what Hicks and Gillett say.

I'm assuming he knows more about football than me and I'm not going to kick him over signing a player I don't rate. He is the manager of the club and thus I have to assume he has its best interests at heart. I can't turn on the guy based on one signing of a player. He signed Pennant and I got over that!!

Anyway chill man, its all hypothetical. We won't sign Forlan*

Buying Forlan is about as sackable an offence as you can commit.

I've read in various papers the fee for E'to to Milan is quoted as £25M/40M Euro's/$50m Dollars

                            yes it would.

If we signed him and he did crap I would start to question Rafa's judgement and sanity

If we signed him and he did great i would think he is even more of a genius than he already is

He isn't. But if we have him up front we will finish 4th, not win away from home until January, get humiliated away against big sides, and have a decent run in the champions league. Not good enough.
