Pre-season is roughly 3 weeks away for us with the 1st match scheduled for in 4 weeks time. With La liga coming to an end official tonight, that leaves any La liga player wishing to join a premiership club with viturally 2 weeks holiday and rest.
Rafa has stated previously that he wishes to get all his players new & old together so he can get the players to gel & bond in advance to the 1st premiership game and have a better understanding right from the get go. In pervious seasons Rafa has brought in players within days of the transfer deadline. Therfore many a-times the new players fail to settle in when the season is in full swing.
The question is not about signing players now. But signing players from La Liga who have just finished a long-season on the back of a World cup year (last year) with 3 weeks rest, then playing in the fastest league in the world. Will they be upto it right from the start?
