Phil Thompson's Dad, Owen Thompson was taken into hospital about 4 weeks back and he is not expected to leave again.

At the moment he is comfortable.

His family have flown from Australia to be with him.

This is all I can say for now.

If people want to take a moment out of their day to spare a thought for a genuine legend who is going through a very hard time at the moment.
