If you recall we couldnt play Masher for several weeks after we signed him as we had to wait for the prem to give us clearance, I think this was one of the things that alerted the prem that all was not above board with the Tevez & Mascherano to WHU deals.

Parry is probably only a material witness in any case
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

not exactly sure if we are backing them, looks more like parry's a witness for them as he knows the inside of the deals involving mascher and tevez...

I thought what the **** are we bothering to get involved with this for when we are supposed to be writing cheques then i realised that if the hammers go down Tevez will be offski.

            ...

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. I really don’t think we are saying West Ham should be relegated and Sheff Utd should be reinstated more that because of what we had to go through to get Mascherano, Parry is seen as an expert (only kidding Rick) witness.

To be honest I think Tevez will be offski anyway, I don’t think West Ham staying up or going down will have anything to do with it. Now whether it’s to us or not that’s a different matter although Madrid have supposedly made contact about Tevez.

Obviously has to be seen as a measure of maybe getting Tevez cheaper? But i hope if we go for benayoun this wont effect matters.

FFS, i would've thought there were more pressing duties for him to be carrying on behalf of US, rather than Sheffield fecking United...

if he's called upon as a witness i doubt there's not much he can do about it, other than going there and telling the truth...

But what's he going to say? "No sorry, I'm busy at the moment. Can you get somebody else to do it?"

                              Why not?

I really hope he's impartial in all of this and been called up as an independent witness and not as a witness for Sheff Utd, because there is no way we should be involved in a dispute between two clubs which essentially has nothing to do with us.

If he has been called and he has information which is essential to the proceedings then he has to give testimony as honestly as possible. Whether or not that leaves him impartial in either team's eyes is besides the point IMO.
