    Ticket Prices

My sister just booked a ticket for her and her our cousin to go and see the musical 'Joseph' in December.

Friday night, West End production, best seats in the house for over two hours of entertainment.

    How much ? £27 each.

By comparison, It's a ****ing disgrace that we're all being charged £30-40 to go and watch a ****ing football match.

No other country would put up with it. Spain, Germany, Italy etc ticket prices are no where near as high. We're being taken for an absolute ride.

How much longer will we all put up with it ?

To be fair, If you shouted at Jospeh 'You dirty Manc ****' you'd be kicked out. That wont happen at Anfield.
Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.

Unfortunately, when Stevie G get's £5m a year (or by my maths about £6 from every supporter in the ground at every home (league) game) you have to pay those prices.

      And we're fairly cheap

looks like we'll put up with it for a while, unfortunately. If we don't there's apparently 50,000[??] who will take our place.

You just have to look at the accounts for us last year - and we're not even the biggest spending club.

              Media - about £50m
              Tickets - just over £30m

'Staff costs' (so wages) - almost £70m

That's before we buy any players and all our other costs.

Our turnover's £120m and it all goes out the door.

Unless you're in The Paddock where different rules apply.

I think the biggest difference is that none of the actors earn £120,000/week

For comparison sake, take a look at the prices for the Montreal Canadiens.

                      Saw a stat a`while back:

A season ticket at Wigan is more expensive then at Barcelona. Beyond a joke.

A bloke I know (Spurs supporter) wanted to get his son into watching football with him. He priced up 2 season tickets and travel costs for White Hart Lane and worked out that it was cheaper to get seaon tickets for Barcelona along with flights and local accomodation.

Needless to say, he can be found most weekends of the football season in sunny Spain.

I've got tickets for a 20/20 Cup thing at Old Trafford in a couple of weeks - never been to a cricket match before and have no real interest, however it cost £9 a ticket. I could not believe it.

Went to the Theatre a few weeks back, cost of the ticket: £14.50.

There is no doubt that football relatively speaking is a rip off.
