And one of my nights at The Casa is four top quality music acts for £3.

Quality of ladies and football has definitly been taken into consideration to.Originally posted by Gordy Boy View PostA bloke I know (Spurs supporter) wanted to get his son into watching football with him. He priced up 2 season tickets and travel costs for White Hart Lane and worked out that it was cheaper to get seaon tickets for Barcelona along with flights and local accomodation.
Needless to say, he can be found most weekends of the football season in sunny Spain.

Hang on, Stevie G earns in a week what even the best cricketers earn in a year. Same goes, no doubt, for actors/actresses at a theatre.Originally posted by Cacodemon View PostI've got tickets for a 20/20 Cup thing at Old Trafford in a couple of weeks - never been to a cricket match before and have no real interest, however it cost £9 a ticket. I could not believe it.
Went to the Theatre a few weeks back, cost of the ticket: £14.50.
There is no doubt that football relatively speaking is a rip off.
I'm sure if footballers earned sensible wages we'd also be paying £10 to watch a Liverpool game

Blimey what a fickle lot !
Half the time you're baying the board to buy £30million players and then start complaining because the ticket prices go up.
It's called supply and demand.
I love the theatre so I know I will have to pay over £50:00 for a top show same for test match Cricket at Lords(Second only to Anfield for me) £60:00 fro a fair seat in The Mound stand.

Yet it costs less than £15 for a ticket, programme and pie for their standing terrace.

and the Allianz Arena holds just shy of 70k while ours holds 45k, so they can afford to offer cheaper prices and still rake in as much on a match day as we doOriginally posted by anfieldanfield View PostMunich just splashed out 18m on Ribery and 12m on Luca Toni.

What about Serie A, where the likes of Juve and Inter pull in fairly low average crowds (by English standards), yet charge lower prices for tickets whilst simultaneously spending and paying high wages? And what about the vastly increased TV deal, where next season's relegated clubs will earn more from Sky/Setanta/BBC funds than the champions did under the old contract? How does that latter point sit with the need to keep raising ticket prices?Originally posted by Morphorino View Postand the Allianz Arena holds just shy of 70k while ours holds 45k, so they can afford to offer cheaper prices and still rake in as much on a match day as we do

first point juve stadium capacity close to 70k, milans over 80k, now i know the attendances are on the decline, and i'm having trouble trying to find average attendance figures, but i'm sure they are still pretty high for the big 3/4 clubs, they have the ability to fill demand for big gamesOriginally posted by lfc_michael View PostWhat about Serie A, where the likes of Juve and Inter pull in fairly low average crowds (by English standards), yet charge lower prices for tickets whilst simultaneously spending and paying high wages?

second point, they'll justify it by paying more in transfers for better playersThomas Hicks Senior
