We're still here mate, you just have to sift through a bit of gravel to get to the nuggets.Originally posted by honestjon View PostFair play mate and take it onboard. As I said I came here because I heard some quality posters that were on KT are now on here(Mumsafan etc, Tom, Redlife,AnfieldREd etc oh and Morphorino.)
I agree the earlier comment about Crackoff smilie, its used too much by lazy people and I can never tell how offensive it is meant to be, so I think I've only used it once.
There's a lot of joking on here, some of it childish. Some people don't like that, depends if you're looking for deadly serious debates (always remember someone on KT posted "there's a time and a place, lads" when someone made a joke in the Investment Forum) or a chat about LFC with a few laughs. I reckon it'll grow on you.
I think I bought a car from you once. The TrafficMaster tried to kill me.

Isn't this post a bit ironic, seeing as you are posting it on the Internet?Originally posted by Phil Eel View PostThis is rubbish !! The intellectual level here is like Koptalk - crap. It amazes me how young lads can rack up thousands of post here in a few months - truly sad. Anoraks or what. Come on lads, find a girl, have some fun, go outside and play, get some sun on your backs. No wonder obesity is on the increase

And this is not limited to this thread.
Yes I appreciate this is the silly season, and hilarious responses are very witty but tbh the majority of response are quick one liners with a smilie at the end.
Some of us work for a living and usually pop in have a quick gander and bang a few posts/replys out and then get back to work
Usually the quality picks up in the evening

True I'll be gone once the season starts,it's just this time of year that I even bother posting up here.Originally posted by Morphorino View PostAs for the likes of KK07, he only comes here in the close season, he'll **** off back to chat chat chat when the season starts
The clique thing you speak of is evident on a lot of sites and also it's inevitable with long time members.
Usually to see what the latest rumour is,usually bollox.
But it's so ****ing stressful in here it's hard not to act the bollox!!
The clique thing gets on my tits big time,I don't think there are cilques like there was at the start.
In the early months of the site there were definite divides but they mostly seem to have been broken down now and most people seem to get on.
Lots of new posters have come in over the last few months and have made themselves known and now people have the banter with them ,not because they're now in the "clique"
I remember Les saying to me in Athens about KDDDD "Where the **** did he come out of? the mad ******* just appeared and has been hilarious from day one!",Steveheighway robbery is another like that, came in,paid no attention to cliques and just got on with it!
As I said I don't believe there are cliques, more so posters who post alot in certain forums,I for one rarely post up here or in the library, where I'm sure there are posters I've hardly seen in chat chat.
It's all about getting in there and getting stuck in,having a bit of laugh with fellow Liverpool, supporters not crying like a bitch because no-body knows your name,**** off back to Cheers if thats what you want!! :whatever:

It kind of depends on what you mean by cliques. I don't think there are any groups which are so closed as to be a problem for confident posters (such as the new arrivals you mentioned). There are however groups of people who seem to take against say AFII and threads can become a bit unpleasant at times and I can see why that would a/ give the impression of cliques and b/ be intimidating for some people.Originally posted by King Kenny 07 View PostAs I said I don't believe there are cliques, more so posters who post alot in certain forums,I for one rarely post up here or in the library, where I'm sure there are posters I've hardly seen in chat chat.

I don't actually think that you are one of the people who is a problem as mostly what you say is good humoured and obvious banter. I think there are some people who are however making the football sections on this site a bit of a battlefield and it is annoying."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I do agree with you there dww mate,I'm great at the banter.Originally posted by dww View PostI don't actually think that you are one of the people who is a problem as mostly what you say is good humoured and obvious banter. No on a serious note, part of the reason I don't post in the footie section most of the year is because of the very posters you're talking about.
I don't think they're a clique and I don't think I could even pick out individuals,it's just seems to be a general mentality of jumping on people and attacking anyone with a different opinion.
AFII only has himself to blame for all that Tribal crap though!!
