Assuming that Xabi's new contract signing was to keep him at the Club and not to up/secure his value for a transfer I can see us playing a formation along the lines of;

4 - 2 - 3 - 1

Finnan/Carra/Agger/Riise

Mascherano/Alonso

Gerrard/New Hole Player or possibly Kuyt/New Winger

Torres

not all the time but chances are he will play like that at some stage.

sometimes i wonder if people on these forums are actually fans and actually watch the team

why say we will play this formation, that formation..

its crap, and getting rather tedious

any idiot knows by now that rafa will choose the formation and players he has available to win each game as it comes.
