The SHIFT key is your friend.

Bellamy offers little to the team unless he improves. I would sell him for any sort of profit as long as we can get a replacement in.

I think we need three players. Two wide midfielders and a striker.

We need to come out of the blocks starting. Hopefully we will be able to use a team which we have done for the majority of this season straight off. Integrate any new signings a bit more slowly than the last two years. Our start gives us a good chance - at least it doesn't give us any excuses.

Oh we do, we do indeed.

      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I agree dww, but I think we should also be looking at a centre-half as well. Sami has another year in him as cover, but will not be the right option for some games. Paletta needs to go out on loan for 12 months.

Don't see why, didn't show a great deal last season, and doubt he'll improve, anything over the 6 or so mill we paid for him is good business.

If part of the loan deal is that the club have to buy him fo x amount then i'm all for it. Otherwise the extra year is just going to lower his value as he nears the end of his contract, so maybe so.

I'd say we need 3/4, striker, two wingers (or maybe just one), and a keeper, if Rafa wants a squad player he could do a lot worse than Benayoun

I wouldn't mind seeing Bellars stay for another season to settle in a bit more and prove himself. If we brought someone else in who is an obvious improvement, I wouldn't mind seeing Bellars leave, but only if they were a nailed on improvement (I know you can't ever say that until they start baning them in).

If we sign a quality winger, a better striker than the ones we have, have a fully fit Garcia and Kewell and retain Carson as a keeper for next season, I think I'd be quite happy. Especially with the other players we have already signed.

I am inclined to agree but I want us to improve our first team before we worry about coer for a position where for this year at least we should be okay.

Some of the people who have watched more Spanish football than I said that Arbeloa was playing CB successfully before he joined us. Whether he is strong enough to do the same in teh PL remains to be seen but as 4th choice I would be willing to gamble.
