personally i do think we need a centre half for cover, sami is a lfc legend no doubt... no doubt also he is finished and was last season, i think he cost us at least six points in the league single handedly. fair enuf agger needed time to settle but you just cant play sami against pace... he never had much to begin with i know... so lets get milito in for some cover

and just to comment on the origional post, **** bellamy he is a little useless ****

Bellamy is a cracking player - give him space to run one on one at a player and he can make them look like a fool. Look no further than what he's done to Nesta and Cannavaro in the past.

He doesn't get that space at Liverpool though. It's the same thing as with Cisse - if teams play deep he's struggling because that's not his game.

But to label Bellamy as **** because of one bad season is a little harsh imo.

There is no way we can afford to spend £10m on a centreback. I'm not against getting cover in I do however feel that a beter opton than Sami will cost us a lot of money which we could spend better elsewhere. I think there are options within the squad which mean that it isn't a priority.

Arbeloa is really a center back. Also I'm sure Paletta along side Carra will be a better player than Paletta alongside Hyypia.

I also think that Hobbs is only a season or two away from challenging for the first team.

I disagree, if heaven forbid Carra got seriously injured u can right off our season imo..we have decent cover if any other key player got injured but having to play Sami for a run of say ten games would ruin our chances.

I remember reading that about Arbeloa somewhere

I'm not sure I totally agree about Paletta though. I reckon he needs to go out on loan to a Championship side for the season before we can truly pass judgement on him - I guess if he does that will depend on how good his english is.

Not sure about Hobbs either but I haven't watched him as much as others.

thats the secret c- **** if rafa does walk out im applyin
Don’t think there is any chance of him staying after the golf club incident, but if we don’t get a high enough bid I’d like to see him get another season.

Having been used to watching Cisse as our ‘pacey’ forward, it was a joy to watch Bellamy play his first few games and making such intelligent runs and stretching the defence. For those of you who don’t think he was good enough just cast your minds back to November/December when he was without a doubt the catalyst that reversed our away form. He was absolutely phenomenal for a few games. If that doesn’t convince you, just ask Vidic…

Good player, hateful wee c*nt, and wont be at Anfield next year.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

not a chance in hell i want to see bellamy here next season. another season to settle bollocks doesn't wash with a player that has been in the premier league for ages. As long as we get at least what we paid for him i want him gone last week!!
