Thanjk you.

If he can't, then there isn't a single other manager who will with the current competition. There is only so much a manager can do with the players available.
IF he is given sufficient backing over the next couple of years, he will win No.19 and put into place a team capable of extending that further.
If he does not get the quality of player he feels we need to make that last push forward, the excuse for this 'failure' will always be there.
I believe in Rafa more than I ever did in any of the managers post Dalglish. I hope the new owners show the same belief, and more importantly trust and long term commitment in Rafa.
"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley
thers no doubt that he has put us back on the map but to win no.19 we have become more adventurous in our play, especially away from home where we need to go all out to win games instead focusing so much on not losing
He has what it takes to win 19 without a shadow of a doubt. I think the argument about his style of play doesn't wash. Mourinho doesn't like to play fast expansive football but Chelsea have done alright under him.
I do however dislike how there always seems to be rumours about him not being happy or wanting more money for players. I am begining to think that Rafa will never be happy no matter what club he goes to and I do think that he wont be around in 3 - 4 years time maybe less.

I too am beginning to dislike the fact that he is unhappy with the amount of money he has to spend etc.
Personally I have doubts about whether he can pick the right attacking players to get us no. 19. We just haven't been good enough in the league under him to date. I hope it changes

To be fair the most expensive players are the attacking players and he's hardly had the budget to go out and blow 20mil on a striker. The players we have been linked with excite me but I'm a bit sceptical as to how much money he has to spend.
I sometimes wonder what Parry and Moores promised him at his interview however because every couple of weeks there are stories about him being unhappy.
With these players and resources, I highly doubt we can find another manager who perform as well as Rafa. I know it´s a tired excuse but over the last two years I think our players have been under the most pressure regarding played games, started the 2005/6 season very early and went to Japan and the played in the world cup and almost straight home for pre-season. It will be interesing to see how they fare with Rafa after this pre-season.
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
Maybe we should ask David Moores to fund the striker deal? After all he made a tidy profit out of the sale of his shares and by all accounts he may have sold to the wrong people. That's if rumours are to be believed?!!!
i think he's done excellent with the resources so far.
Now that everyones gotten over his rotation methods etc, I think we have a very good squad, and are probably only 2 or 3 players from having an excellent 22 man playing squad.
Now i'm not saying it's a simple as two teams because obviously Rafa is going to mix and match, but assuming team 1 is our typical first choice team, you take nearly any of the players in the second team and wouldn't make us a great deal weaker.
The positions in bold are were I think we need to strengthen, and I think Rafa will get those buys right.
And thats leaving out Garcia, Leto, Paletta, Lucas.
but I think to have achieved what he has in the space of time he has and with the funds available, Rafa has built a very capable squad more than able to go all the way in any cup comp, and with those added quality players we'll hopefully get in I think we'll be on our way to 19 sooner rather than later
