    He's out in Venezuala for the Copa America (Chile's first match is tonight against Ecuador) so I'm sure it won't be concluded until he returns to Europe...

      would have to agree, all the bollix about foreign players nedin time to settle and all that.. give him another chance... ronaldo was not great his first season either.. could be a mistake to let him go so early and for so little cash... if its a case of something happening behind the scences that we dont know about then **** him.. trust rafa he is briging 19 home next season and how sweet will it be to ram it back down the manc ****ers throats. YNWA

        I wouldnt mind if we kept him for another year, think he could be good for us, but if Rafa has seen something behind the scenes and we can get a few mill for him then fair enough,.

                      I've heard somewhere that he is going on loan instead of being sold. Dont know how reliable that is.

                          I'd like to see that, on loan to a Prem club... after all the fuss about his work permit I reckon it would make sense to have the option of keeping him.

                          Send him to Pompey for a season where he could - to quote Harry - 'do a job', and if he's pony then get rid. If he's good, then take him back for 08/09.

                              I don't see the big deal.

                              There will always be interest in Gonzalez from La Liga. If he doesn't go to Betis, we'll easily find another buyer for him.
