People may have to sit up and take notice when we inail Torres and others and our new Ground plans in teh weeks a head
The subject of cash is a funny one. It's all well and good saying they have cash when they took over, but as they have completely revised the stadium I would say that they are not as flush as they once where. It can't have been cheap. Plus the new stadium looks a bit more expensive than the old concrete bowl one.

If on the other hand we sign a few top whack players AND get a quality stadium then the Yanks really have lived up to their promises.

The blokes are ****ing minted - Gillett alone is worth £3bn, and Hicks is even more rich. I doubt the coupla hundred million on the stadium has washed 'em out. Despite original reports, it was never realistic to expect more than say £60m in one window (and even that is pushing it) - if you think about what they've done since the end of the season - sorted the stadium out and tied down Reina, Carra, Momo, Alonso, Gerrard, etc etc, they've already achieved A LOT. As far as what needed to be done, they're 2/3s of the way through, and when you look at it like that, they've done very well

Minted maybe but its not like they had 3bn in the bank. Didn't they take out a loan? wonder how much spare cash they have lying around. Anyhow despite what questions I ask I have said since day 1 that they would stump up with the cash. I also said Bascombe was talking nonsence when he trawled on about us buying 2nd tier targets, but we'll find out soon enough anyhow.

Aye I agree - the only way I see money being a problem is in the way of Rafa not wanting to be ****ed about - not that he won't be provided with enough of it.

The only question remains is how do we keep them all happy. I seriously can not see Gerrard being a regular in the centre now, which is a shame.

Unless Momo is gonna be turned back into a striker due to us missing out on our targets,

Well just gives us possibilities mate. If Mascherano has a blinder this season imagine what his value will be, it will sky rocket and i wouldnt be surprised if that kia bloke slaps a 25/30m price tag on him. Also Momo will be off for the African Cup of Nations for 6 weeks if Mali qualifies.

I think our agreed price for Mascherano is set in stone. Dont think it can be changed

Sadly it does seem like Mali will Qualify

Anyway, I'm very happy that Momo is staying. His tireless running and ability to break up play is very important to the side. He has proven he has the right mentality after his eye injury a season ago

Ahhhh, disaster. One of the worst midfielder I have ever had the misfortune to see in red.

"Sissoko joined the Reds from Valencia for £5.6m in July 2005 and has gone on to play 71 games without scoring."
