    Tevez chance increased?

    taken from ESPN.

    "Tevez turns down Internazionale

West Ham United forward Carlos Tevez has turned down a move to Inter Milan after the Serie A champions imposed a deadline for him to make a decision.

The Argentina international, who is currently in Venezuela for his country's Copa America campaign, has been linked to several clubs in England and abroad but is keen to remain in the Premier League.

A statement from Tevez's representative Kia Joorabchian said: 'Inter put a deadline on the decision and Carlos' heart is really in the Premier League, so he was not prepared to meet that cut-off point.'

The tenacious forward recovered from a difficult start to life in Britain following his move from Corinthians last summer to win over Hammers fans and neutrals alike, and was instrumental in the club's successful battle to avoid relegation.

West Ham are understandably keen to keep him and are involved in negotiations about his future.

Real Madrid, Liverpool and Inter were among the clubs strongly linked with a move for the 23-year-old but Inter have seemingly ruled themselves out of the running due to their demands.

Negotiations are ongoing with the Hammers which could see Tevez remain at Upton Park after all.

Joorabchian, who heads up Media Sports Investments, revealed reports that Tevez has been offered £100,000 by the Hammers to stay are 'absolutely not true'.

'He has not been offered that sum of money to stay, but it is true we are still talking and hope to come to some arrangement.'

i know alot of us have lost hope since he came out and mentioned how he liked inter etc, but this could be good news for us

He game on last night against the USA and showed his class by tucking away a lovely goal.

He reminds me of Rooney - and I'd love either of them in Liverpool Red

i think he's going to be henry's replacement at arsenal. once we get torres i think rafa will start to concentrate on bringing in the long awaited quality wingers...

I agree that if we get Torres that Rafa will probably look to streghten the rest of the team,ie wingers.

I'd like to think that he's still on the lookout for another top quality striker though too, hopefully Tevez.

Maybe with the cash coming in for Cisse and maybe Bellamy he'll be able to swing something.

A few Tevez threads popping up. I think we should all we can to sign him. If we only get one out of Tevez and Torres I'd prefer Tevaz any day but in an ideal world both would be nice.

I think Tevez would compliment any of our current strikers and would create as many for the others that he would put away for himself.
No, no, no.........I'm only scary 'cause I'm hairy

Big year for me 2008, hope it all goes well for me, oh, and you lot too!

I really doubt that we have the financial muscle to get both ! I think that people are forgetting the fact that we have a hard working forward in Kuyt. I really hope that Torres and Kuyt strikes a solid partnership "hitting the ground running" this season !

I'd like to think that we could have the financial muscle to get both strikers but I just can't see it happening TBH. I'd love to have them both but as you pointed out, we do have Kuyt and hopefully he will only get better this season.

I'm not as worried as some about buying new wingers and would prefer the 2 strikers mentioned if that was as far as the budget went, but whatever Rafa wants is fine with me.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Why is anyone doubting our finances?

No-one knows how much dosh the Yanks are willing to release. Lets be honest 50 million between them is not a tremendous stretch.

The players that is, has been, available or this summer won't be available next summer. This is a key summer for a lot of clubs because there is a few fantastic players available like Torres, Tevez, Alves, Pato and few others that has already been signed.

If we spash the cash this summer then we wouldn't need to do it next summer because we have a young team.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Plus we have a 20 point gap to bridge, one player won't achieve that.
If you're going to go for it there should be no half measures.

This pains me to do but I tink you are taling sense here, if (and it is a big if) we can afford Tevez and Torres as well as 1 or 2 wingers (think 1) we would have a team that should be capable of winning the title and would possibly not need any real strengthening in a years time. We would be able to bring some of our younger players through for the folowing season with maybe some more kids signed and 1 player - small value.
However think this would not happen and I am being a bit simplistic in my idea.

I still think rafa wants a quality winger and that is gona cost. I dont think we have the financial clout to get tevez and torres and then a winger because we seemed reluctant to spend the 27m for torres straight away and are haggling over a price for benayoun! maybe if we could raise some funds from the like of bellend and cisse leaving it is more of a possability but tevez won't come cheap!
I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.

Can some one answer me this:
If a team buy Tevez for say £20m, after the 4 years do MSI get him back or do they loose all rights - for ever over him?
Can't help but think it would be a glorified loan deal.

I think that is something which would need to be negotiated with MSI and Tevez. I suppose it's possible to buy him off MSI but that fee would probably be astronomical.

just a suggestion but could tevez do a job on one of the wings for us ???

or wat about the idea of a seasson long loan with the option to buy next year ???

he will not be cheap and i do agree if we spend well this summer there may not be a huge financial outlay needed next year (unless we get the above mentioned loan deal).... we have to buy macherano at the end of next season and he wont be cheap either !!!

cisse, bellend, garcia, sami, speedy all could realistically fetch us a combined 18 odd million which should fund 1 and a half decent wingers with the yanks coughing up the rest of the kitty for the other half of him

buy right now and its back to domination ............. and much more importantly annoying the blue ****e and the manc scum !!!!!do it rafa

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."
