League 1 I think. Didn't they get promotion?
Edit: Yes!
Double deal for Pools
By Mark Buckingham - Created on 29 Jun 2007
Hartlepool United have signed Godwin Antwi on loan from Liverpool and goalkeeper Jan Budtz on a free transfer.
Teenage defender Antwi has linked up with Pools on a season-long basis, having yet to make his debut for Liverpool.
He spent the end of last season on loan at Accrington, and Stanley were keen to arrange another deal for the Ghanaian.
But Antwi will, instead, spend the campaign in League One, much to the delight of Pools boss Danny Wilson.
"He's come in from a terrific football club who think a lot of him," Wilson told the club's official website.
"He has good experience, great potential and has played in a lower division and he had a lot to do for Accrington Stanley during his time there.
"That will put him in good stead for us. He has great pace and will be a big acquisition for us."
Wilson has also signed Budtz on a free after the keeper was released by Doncaster Rovers at the end of last season.

No, they were in the League One play-off final the season before, had a terrible start to last season and finished well. They play good football.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostThanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Ha, my mistake. I missed a season. They did what a lot of clubs seem to do - lose in the play-off final (lost to Sheffield Wednesday) and then end up going down the season after. I missed out the season they went down.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostRunners up in league 2 last year mate:

They went on a long unbeaten run last season, if memory serves. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Possibly true. I reckon that will be the case for over 80-90% of the youngsters Rafa has brought in, probably 80-90% of the players currently in the youth set-up. We've already sold a couple of them on, none of them seem to be anywhere near to being first team players. Even the younger players who have played in the first team have only played ocassional League Cup matches.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostHe'll never play a single game for LFC.
Everyone raves about Arsenal's youngsters, most of whom have made first team appearances, but how many of them have become first team regulars?White liquid in a bottle = Milk

I don't think so mate. Certainly struggle for 5% as regulars but I'd say at least 30-40% will get at least one game.Originally posted by Dhavlos View PostPossibly true.
