Luis has two years left on his contract, not one.
http://www.uefa.com/competitions/UCL...722/index.htmlJust believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Yes, just as no doubt you said when he scored in the Champs League match against Juve, or Dortmund, or Chelsea.....Originally posted by Marky19 View PostCos he's a waste of space.
He's one of our most perceptive players, a really switched on fella who makes some of the most intelligent runs I've seen, to create space for others or score 'follow ups', with his nous for being in the right place at the right time. Watch again when he scored against Everton after the ball had hit the bar. Watch the 2005 Champs League final and see who would have put the rebound from the penalty away after Dida had parried it if Xabi hadn't got there.
In other words, your football knowledge is nil. Indeed, perhaps you are the waste of space.
IWe'd be stupid to let him go.

And yes i've made reference to those goals he scored on our way to winning the champions league in 05 on numerous occasions.
He's scored some wonderful, wonderful goals for us aswell as some vital, vital goals for us. No-one can take that away from him and if he were ever to return to Anfield i'd expect him to get a standing ocvation but that doesn't disguise the fact that he wasted so many oppurtunities in games, stopped some good attacks we were building by trying an impossible flick or trick when the simple thing would have been to keep it simple, the amount of times he wasted possession and some suicidal areas was just pathetic really.
I'm a little sad he's going but i'll not lose any sleep over it like if Alonso or Reina left as theyare solid professionals that put the team first.
That's my take on it anyway.Last edited by Marky; 01-07-07, 06:23 PM."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse.
