    Goals! Goals! Goals!

We managed 57 in the league last year. It seems w/Torres and the Crow we've upgraded our front line and I'm sure with Harry being back and at least 1 more winger coming in that our midfield is being souped up as well.

Given those changes how will we do next year? Are we ready to challenge Manures 83?

I personally think in Torres' first year that we will manage 70+

Depends on the rotation policy and how Rafa utilises Torres.

Bellamy's days are surely now numbered.

I'm not sure how we're going to line up now though? I feel that Crouch and Torres are the two that will compliment each other the most, but will Rafa now be prepared to drop the favoured Kuyt? Voronin is a decent goal poacher from what I've seen of him. Anyway with the addition of these two next season, I' sure we'll see another 10-15 goals.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

inded 57 was appalling, but we were 4th best scorers, if we were an average side then yeah acceptable, but we're not, and we must improve on this stat

but the only way from that is up, the way i see it, we still finished 4th due to our superb defence, if we add more goals we'll have a really good chance next season

Personally, it's points I want, not necessarily loads more goals. Yeah, spanking the odd team 5-0 will gives us a good goal tally but it's the odd goal in key games that will make the difference in the league; turning draws into wins, turning one goal defeats into draws.

I know, the frustrating thing is that defence wise we are problably the best in the league, but if we can up the goals scored, who knows where we could end up?

Imagine 12 each for Torres, Kuyt and Crouch.
                  8 from Voronin
15 from midfield (primarily Simao, Kewell and ...)
                  10 from the back line.

                  That's a good 69 goals

                  Wouldn't be a bad return.

Martin O'Neil must be ****ting himself with the prospect of a pissed off Champions League finalist coming to Villa park with their brand new shiny Torres

                          Agger 5. Riise + Hyypia + Finnan + Carr = 5.
                          Siamo + Kewell + Stevie = 15.

                          That realistic?
