Jermaine Pennant. He got off to a bad start by having a reputation when he joined us and then started off not playing very well. Heskey wasn't ****, he just didn't have the right mentality. When we won the treble, Heskey was one of our best players.

To be honest I don't think he has ever said anything too bad. People just jumped on everything he said with a ludicrous interpretation which he didn't give his words. At the start of last season it didn't matter what he said people slaughtered him for it and said his attitude was crap.

He obviously worked bloody hard to improve last season and I always thought his quotes came across as someone who was made up to be at Liverpool and who wanted to do well. He may not be over articulate but I genuinely haven't seen a single quote which made me think badly of him.

In fairness I think Pennant deserves to be on the list for last season - before he scored against Chelsea he was getting it for everything .... (damn right to he was gash )
