I certainly can't, Mascherano was by far our best player on the day. Pennants performance in the final reminded me why we are in desperate need of a quality right winger. He had all the time and space in the world and didn't deliver 1 accurate cross or pass, I thought Pennant was awful. If we had a decent winger playing on the day we would have won.

Alright as a backup player but shouldn't be anywhere near the first team.

he delivered several crosses. Unfortunately there was no striker on the end of them

Woulda said the same thing about Carra a few years back... i say give the lad a chance. If he keeps improving as he has done for the last few months, he could well develop into something special.

We should know by the January transfer window...

He did but many of them were rushed and into a spot about the edge of the D - not where strikers want the ball. I thought he had a decent game but he showed a lack of composure when crossing and didn't take the ball to the byline enough considering he was beating his man almost at will at times.

Gerrard will play mostly on the right. I believe its his best position to be honest. Alonso and Mascherano will play the majority of games together in midfield. We will probably buy someone decent for the left wing as i doubt hes gonna gamble on harry the fanny staying fit for a whole 9 months.

Dont forget about leto, he might actually be alright you never know!! also, as far as I know, gonzales hasnt actually left yet. If for some reason he managed to still be here at the start of the season it may just be the scare that kick starts his liverpool career, as I have no doubts whatsoever he has the quality, hes just a ****house.
