    One thing i will say is that he has matured a lot in the last 18 months IMO. He comes across much more focused on the team now. I think as he has got older he has got a better grasp of the bigger picture as opposed to being self interested, like most blokes do at 25-26.

    2 years ago i didnt believe he was the right captain but he has grown into it far better than i would of thought possible. He was always the right man for the job on the pitch but he is also a captain off of it now. I give him credit for that.

        liverpool football club needs a captain that does ALL his talking, every bit of it on the pitch. if gerrard has anything to say, let me hear him say that maclaren made a mistake in the way he treated jamie carragher. he wont cos it may jepordise his vice captaincy and the love in he has got going with those poxy chav *****. the amount of money gerrard is on in wages and endorsments and then selling these bull**** comments to a newspaper is like asking oaps to pay for the bus. **** off gerrard and wise up
