Well done Carra, no need to try and get the approval of those that will never give you a fair chance. This will add a few seasons to your LFC career!

just to be a bit contraversial.

I agree he is the equal of any central defender in the country at defending. Not sure if he could reach the same heights with Enlgand that he hits with us.

My one concern is that he doesnt really get picked. I remember laughing when andy (call me andrew) cole announced his retirement when he wasnt really part of the England set up. how we all laughed

Now will mancs etc do the same with this?

but if true its good news he plays for us the club he loves the club he is made for !!!!

Good point mate, he's often a 2nd half sub for England or chosen only when Ducky or Terry are unfit. He wouldn't make the decision if he was an automatic choice.

Regardless of that, if true, it's a great decision as he'll not have anything to sidetrack him in future

Real shame, you never know if there's an injury or suspension and he'd be right back in there. Mclaren

I'd love to rip this ***** head off....

"SO JAMIE CARRAGHER IS considering quitting international football because he does not feel he is getting the chances he deserves in an England shirt. Ah well. Apart from John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Ledley King, Steven Taylor, Michael Dawson, Jonathan Woodgate and Wes Brown, they are struggling in the middle of defence. If Carragher pulls out, Steve McClaren, the head coach, will be in a right mess. Well, actually, he won’t. Carragher needs to be very careful. He is a brilliant, brave defender but he also seems to perform better for Liverpool than his national team. The football public did not rampage through the streets asking for Paul Scholes to change his mind when he quit England — and they certainly won’t if Carragher gives up. Jamie, there are players who are better than you and who deserve their place ahead of you. Get over it and beware. Turning your back on your country does not go down very well. Ever."

                  Who?
What a cock of a man. Carra has been treated horribley by England and i don't think anyone can blame him if he quit the international scene.

would he re-consider if mancLaren was sacked? Another coach may see the value in him....

also, for anyone wondering why richardson and wes brown etc were in the team ahead of others, don't you know who they play for? the manc wanc will look there first, then the big names, and fill the rest up around them. the only reason he plays Gerrard is because he is high profile, otherwise he would go with fwank and Carrick.

He wouldn't have quit if he commanded a regular place. It's like me retiring from international football.

He's basically got in a strop cos he isn't getting in the side. Although it is good news for us.
