Well, as I said, the 96 team was a fair bit different to the 98 squad, so I was admitting a mistake.

I wasn't making a point, just asking a question, as that was one of the finest displays by England that I have seen, and it seemed odd that it would've happened against a team of so called world class players.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

I couldn't be arsed really so feel free to rip it to shreds.
Ramos at centre back?, bit too raw for that yet i think, he is much better at right back at the moment.
anyone answer how highly Mexes is thought of in general, cause i dont watch much serie a, but when i see him he looks good. Well apart from thta 7-1 he played a part in

who gives a **** about world class, we need players that can do what is asked of them, and function as a TEAM!!!!! we have been relying over the last few years on one player, who's said to be world class to carry everyone else, we need a TEAM that play together and off each other

the term world class IS over used and banded about far too easily

Think back to the Dutch team of 1998 you could argue that was a team o world class players. Where are the world class wide players? Who is really up there wih Messi as a player under 21 with the potential to be a legend?

Just because footie is going through a lull of world class players for he past 5 years doesn't mean we should force the label on players who don't deserve it.

Over the past 2 to 3 years, for me Sheva, Buffon, Nesta, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Henry and Eto'o are World Class no questions asked. Any other player is up for seriou debate IMHO.

Did you mean the Dutch team of 1988? Gullit, Van Basten, the Koeman brothers, Wouters etc
              Never knowingly optimistic
