We buy a Brazilian who is the youngest player ever to win player on the year in Brazil - but that's enough

We sign Fernando Torres, Rafa's first choice, and don't beat, but shatter, our transfer record - but that's not enough

We are about to unveil new stadium plans with a capacity to expand into the biggest stadium in England - but that's enough

In the time since we last won the league this is by far and away the best pre-season we have ever had and there is still talk of us bringing in more players, yet somehow there are those who still manage to have a go at two men who have always come through when called upon.

Pathetic is the only word I can think of to describe the whingers who say they aren't doing enough.

These yanks may turn out to be the biggest pair of ******s in lfc`s history. But they also may be the biggest saviours (behind shanks obviously) in our history too.

Too many football manager pricks on here not giving them a chance to show there true colours.

for me, the big things they have done is the stadium re-think, the backroom reshuffle, the new contracts for keys players, the investment in hot kids from around the world and the swiftness of the Torres and Lucas deal.

however, in terms of transfers and fees, I haven't seen anything special yet. We have sold Bellers, Cisse, Gonzo, Garcia and released Dudek, Fowler, Zenden. you can't tell me that hasn't eased the payroll expenses.

In terms of Fees alone, we reached the final of the CL and there is a new TV deal. With the income from the player sales we are doing well financially. I like the idea we are still financially prudent, but also would like to see us spend when we need to.

Also, if we had bought Torres for 20mil under the old regime, we would not have had anything else I would think. Yet, we are still being linked with Mancini, Quaresma etc, which tells us we are not done yet.

Finally, the fact we haven't gone out and spunked 70mil on players goes to show what a great manager we have, and what he has done over the last few years.

Rafa is a great manager, we have a extremely talented squad, we have rich owners, we have the best (although you wouldnt believe it if you went by some of the pricks in here) support in the world, we have tradition, we have history.

keep the faith fella, whatever will be will be, and i believe that what will be us winning the league

            Sack Parry

Anyway, I really don't know what else the new owners could have been expected to do.

Apparantley they should sign every player that has scored a good goal, done a trick on the pitch, or has featured strongly in football manager. Failing that, just anyone that has a price tag of at least 25 mill.

I like Gillette and Hicks, theres no reason to doubt them, as so far, they have been good to their word.

Not sure what else they can do really.

Re-designed Stadium plans to make it bigger and better, sorted important players contracts and funding for new players have all been swiftly dealt with.

Yea they do tend to be in the spotlight a bit,but thats just the American way i guess.

Although since Athens, they do seem to of toned it down a bit.

I think it's too early to say either way. Lets see where we are in 5 years time.

It's AFII, if you mean me of course

See now you attacked me again and I didn't even post in this thread, if you mean me of course.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I'm sorry, but genuinely no-one cares. The forum is turning into some petty little bitch-fest here and people, who generally are seen as good contributors to the site, are actually embarrassing themselves.

Please AF(II), before saying how you are defending yourself and that people are "attacking" you, take stock of the fact that this is the internet and that this whole debacle is one of the most childish and redundant contributions I have seen to any Liverpool forum (even during the flamin' transfer window!). Please **** this off.

                              haha too true

I must say I love when people on here say sack parry we need world class wingers yet they dont come forward with ideas and use Malluda (however its spelt) as an example.. he wh*red himself around europe.. no thanks.

I assume all these people dont really deal with finances themselves and realise books need balancing etc.
