LFC Vs Manc Finals?

Can anyone help me with this.

I am too young to remember this properly, but I have a faded memory of Scum manager Ron Atkinson sitting with his Manc squad before a big LFC Vs Manc game.

Ron and the team were singing You'll Never Walk Alone, whilst waving white flags. I remember Mark Hughes being there too.

When was that? And what game (final?) am I thinking of? Or have I made it up in my head??

Erm...dunno. I know that the only final we played against the Scum when Big Ron Racist was in charge was the 83 Milk Cup Final when Ronnie Whelan did his thang again....but Mark Hughes wasn't playing for them then. We also played 2 games for the semi-final of the FA Cup in 1985 - maybe that's what you're thinking of?
