Just watched the 1994 game at Anfield when Souey was manager (on ESPN). I can't believe what a shambles our defence was. I have been a Liverpool fan since 1969 and that team in 1994 (apart from Fowler, Barnes, Rush and McManaman) was an embarrassment to the Liverpool name. Souness brought in some donkeys in his time at Anfield but do they come any bigger than Julian Dicks, Kvarme, Piechnick, Ruddock? This team was a joke and Souness cost us dearly and set us back 5 years.
Thank God we are finally assembling a squad to be proud of because that one in 1993/94 certainly wasn't! By the way we were 3:0 down at one point and clawed it back to 3:3.

Another howler was Phil Babb - one of the worst defenders i've ever seen.

personality wise .....the biggest **** ever to pull a red shirt......but i was/is quite a good player and certainly 50 times better than most of souness's buys

When Irwin placed the ball down for the free-kick for their third goal - I turned to my bro and said "if this goes in I'm leaving". It went in.
I looked at my watch and there was only about 20 mins gone - so I decided to stay. Thank fook for that!

Yea proberbly, but his personality and attitude and being a blatant liar(according to Thomo) along with his spit the dog act,makes him worse than any player who at least tried and was crap.
