    Away game

Alrite la, I've prob asked this before but with regards going to away matches, how difficult is it to get your hands on an away ticket for supporters who only go to matches once or twice a season ie me?
Been easygetting tha bit out for flights and the day we play city away on the 29th december, prices pretty reasonable. Could get a bus /cab to Manchester and get my ass over to Eastlands, funnily enough i've been to a Man City game before against Newcastle, decent game, 1nil Wanchope with the winner.
Would obviously want to be in the away end this time.

Obviously it's much harder getting a ticket for an away game than a home game if you don't have a season ticket.

The ticket/match-going forum here is excellent though, and if you make your needs known in there, I'm sure someone would oblige.

      Cheers dude.
Have you ever been to an away game and if so what was it like?
I've been to Anfield on six occasions but would really love to sample the atmosphere of an away game, for some funny reason it really appeals to me.

Dear, dear Marky. I'm quite sure Shaggs has been to his fair-share of away days.

I would completely recommend it, brilliant day out, particularly if you are with the lads. Be sure to pick a decent game at a decent ground though, I would say.

Good stuff. Flight prices pretty reasonable for Wigan away aswell. Wigan isn't too far from Liverpool isn't it not?
Is there buses/trains or whatever going to Wigan from Liverpool does anybody know?

There are plenty of transport links from Liverpool to Wigan, and yeah it is quite close.

Been to many over the years mate, indeed I went to City last season as a result of acquiring a ticket via this place.

Most people prefer an away day and I'm no different...although, having said that, City last season was ****ing **** - no atmosphere, worst game ever...although I did get ****ing rat arsed.

There's these things called trains, Marky. They're pretty quick, although they're extortionately priced. Trains between Wigan and Liverpool are regular and take, er, not very long at all.

There's a few Wiganers on here who'll be able to tell you the fare exactly, but it won't be more than a tenner, I imagine, and as I said they're very regular. We take loads to Wigan and it's a great atmosphere, you'd thoroughly enjoy yourself.

Liverpool to Wigan is cheap as chips. £8 or something. Although I wouldn't bother buying a ticket at all, I cant remember the last time I did

In the unlikely event of a conductor asking you for your ticket, you just pay the normal fare

Dead regular too, like every 15/20 mins or so
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet
