In all honestly so far this season none of our players have shined consistantly in central midfield, but I think the main problem has been Xabi's form. Last season he was invaluable breaking opposition attacks up in front of our defence and then launching attacks for us. So far this season he has looked out of sort and we need some one to operate in a disciplined fashion in the middle.

The problem is if you put Momo in the team who do you take out? Xabi is not at his best at the moment, does he need rest or more games to get back into his stride with us after being with the Spanish team in the summer?
Or , do we change from 4 4 2 and play 3 in the middle and 1 up front?
Or Stevie on the right and drop Pennant?
I don't think Rafa knows the best way to play Momo,SG , and Xabi, but I do think he is happy with so many possibilities, we will see a lot of rotation this season, more than last in my opinionComment
