New reserve team coach signed up, Angel Vales

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has strengthened his backroom team at Melwood with the appointment of Angel Vales as reserve team coach and head of technical analysis.
The 40 year old Spaniard arrives with an impressive background in football having worked in technical analysis and as part of the management team in youth development at clubs in Spain and Portugal.

Since 1997 he has been a doctor of sports science and has a Masters in the same field. He has most recently been teaching football to a degree level at The University of La Coruna.

"I am delighted that the boss has chosen me for this position and has faith in me to make it a success," he said. "I am thrilled to be part of this great Club and working with the best fans in Europe."
