    Setanta in Australia

Just got off the phone with a young lady at Setanta.

At the moment they can only have two club channels, and they have Scumbo and bluescumbo.

They are aware of the new LFC channel and have been fielding enquiries, so get on the blower lads and bombard them with interest. I told her to get rid of the Chavs.

The number is 02 93575215 - also she told me that in a couple of months Setanta should be integrated with the Foxtel/Austar offering as an option, so keep an eye out for that.
    Mental note to self:

If you pay for it, you can get it at home.

Otherwise head down to your local.
      On the Ning Nang Nong
      Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
      There's a Nong Nang Ning
      Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
      On the Nong Ning Nang
      All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
      So it's Ning Nang Nong!
      Cows go Bong!

      Trees go Ping!
      Nong Ning Nang!

That's what I was asking never meant it to be broadcasted on free channels.

Initially I should have been there by now but set it back to Jan / Feb next year. Rising apartment rental prices are scaring me though.

Yep and I'll be subscribing to e-season as soon as I move there. What's the quality of the feed and which bandwidth / speed do you have mate ?

Yeah e-season is better quality than the free streaming, but they are only showing some of the friendlies. The quality is not too bad on PPstream etc though. I am on ADSL2 over here and getting about 8-10000 k

I was doing a bit of digging for this last night, myself.

Main was aimed at establlishing if we will miss the Premiership games that Setanta will show live (eg Villa on opening day).

All I could find was a forum site (like this) dedicated to pay-TV in Australia.

A bloke there wrote that Foxsports has rights to show all EPL games in Australia so we should get the Setanta games too.

I did check the Setanta Australia site but that showed nothing about EPL games or LFC-TV.

This forum did mention the likelihood of Setanta being added to the Foxtel channel line-up before the end of 2007.

If I can get LFC-TV then great - but I mainly don't want to miss our EPL games on Setanta

I ve spoken to them too and they said they would consider dumping Chelski if the local LFC market could justify it. They said they are aware that there is a sizeable market for the new LFC channel locally but still dont know what the set up is because its all quite new and would release information as it becomes available. Also said Setanta would hopefully be available as an option on Foxtel/Austar in September. As the Dark Knight has suggested local Red fans should make it their patriotic duty to ring Setanta and lobby for the the dumping of Chelski or Manure to be replaced by LFC-TV. Exciting times ahead hopefully.

                        Hope that helps you.
