    Adam Hammill

Another of our youngsters out on loan - hope it works out for him..

    From BBC website

    Liverpool winger loaned to Saints
Southampton have secured the services of 19-year-old Liverpool winger Adam Hammill on a season-long loan.
Saints beat off strong competition from Scottish champions Celtic to sign the England Under 19 international, who can operate on either flank.

Manager George Burley said: "He is a young player who did very well on loan at Dunfermline last season.

"He is a quick player who likes to take people on. He has bags of potential and I am very pleased to have got him."

These Anderson, Hammil lads aren't going to make it with us are they?
Not saying it's right, that's just my incling at the minute.

That's a good move for him.

Burley has a good record at developing young talent.

I think Hammil will. Along with all his show-boating he seems very determined and incredibly talented from what I have seen.

              I heard that as well.

However he's got a good track record.

Good move, good luck to him. Burley will be good for Hammill's development.

Seriously? I always had him done as a quiet, sensible man George Burley.
Had a soft spot for Ipswich when he was in charge, they played some nice football and took the premiership by storm when they got promoted(in the
                  1st season)

Yep, I know someone "close to the action" at Derby - that was one of the many things that cost Burley his job there.

glad he went to soton, we seem to have a devent relationship with them, guthrie being there last year and obviously no hard feelings with that soton academy coach who came here.

They have a few good young uns there as well.......not that we need anymore!!

                            Wouldn't say that.
I think Rafa is acknowledging that they wont learn much playing for the reserves, they are at a level now where they need to be playing regularly again stronger opponents than what is on offer in the reserve league.
they may well come back to Anfield and get a contract. It is up to them now.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Haha, er, something about Burley ****ing Marcus Tudgay's missus, Tugday confronting a pissed up Burley on the training ground, Burley ****ting him, mass fight....stuff like that. Soap opera stuff.
