    New youngsters score

    From liverpoolway:

Besian Idrizaj, Krisztian Nemeth and Dani Pacheco were on the scoresheet as Liverpool Reserves beat Chester City 3-1 in a friendly game at the Academy today. The reds included new signings Sebastian Leto, Nicolay Mihaylov and Andras Simon in their starting line up, with fellow new boys Pacheco and Nemeth both appearing as second half substitutes. Unflushable turd Anthony Le Tallec was also included.

Chester – for whom Liverpool youngster Jimmy Ryan appeared as a triallist – went in front in the first half, before last weekends hat-trick hero Idrizaj levelled the scores after having missed a penalty earlier. Nemeth put the reds in front after the break, before the lively Pacheco wrapped things up late on.

Jay Spearing, Craig Lindfield and Ray Putterill were missing from the squad as they have been called up to the first team for tomorrow’s friendly at Crewe.

Starting line up: Mihaylov; Darby, Hobbs, Huth, Threlfall; Flynn, Idrizaj, Le Tallec, Leto; Simon, Brouwer
They envy the distinction we have won; let them therefore, envy our toils, our honesty, and the methods by which we have gained it.

Hmm... how did we get away with starting with four strikers?

    ----------- Mihaylov
    Darby -- Hobbs - Huth -- Threlfall
Flynn - Idrizaj - Le Tallec - Leto
    --------- Simon -- Brouwer

    Weird...

Well Idrizaj can play forward or on the wings, snap for ALT, Flynn probably played in the middle, maybe we went 4-3-3

Really surprised that it seems we aren't going to see anything of ALT in pre-season, thought Rafa might have given him one last go in the side, or at least get him in the shop window.

The alternative could be that he's decided to keep him, but he's keeping him in the reserves for a bit to teach him a lesson and might integrate him back into the first team squad if he proves his worth playing for them.

When was the match? Nothing about it on .tv. Anyone got any links to highlights?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
