Very impressive 1st half by the REDS. Voronin looks very good, Gerrard is busy as usual, Roque with a couple of good tackles, Crouch scored a nice goal and linked up well, Riise with many good runs on the left one of which set up Crouchy.
But Jay Spearing was excellent for me. Always a busy bee, tackling, passing, shooting, reminds me a lot of SAMMY LEE.
The lad is going to be the next home grown player to make the grade. Mark my words.

Voronin looks strong, determined, hard working, and seems to have sound technique and a good footballing brain.

Spearing had a tidy half. Roque looks quite promising on that showing too. More quality on the wings and we'd have done a lot more damage. Crouchy and Stevie look relatively sharp.
