Putterill looked good as well, took his goal well after a nice one/two with Kuyt.
Alonso looked fit and willing with a couple of long range shots. Agger & Carra assured as usual. Pennant with a few good runs and crosses.
Overall, a good game by the REDS as a whole. A sterner test against Werder Bremen Tuesday night awaits.

I went to the game today. Finally got in the ground a couple of mins after the game started because our bloody train broke down 5 mins outside Crewe (stuck there for 45 mins or so).

My biggest impression in the game was the quality of Spearing and Putterill. I really liked them as players. Let's hope they get a chance over the next 2 or 3 seasons.
