    Welcome to Est.

Don't take it seriously. A few were slagging him off before he even arrived, so others built him up. It's all just a bit of a kind-hearted piss take.

Thanks Laz. Its just seemed funny that people are make him look like a world beater when honestly he is a decent player no more. Hope he does well for the reds as he is one of us now.

On the other hand though it was a very encouraging performance and it surprised many of us - me included. Long may it continue but much bigger tests are to come.
I thought it was mandatory when discussing the meaningless of preseason to mention Cheyrou vs Inter?

Welcome squire, hope you enjoy it here.

I honestly think that Voronin will be an excellent signing for us. Not that he will necessarily be an excellent player but he fits what we needed, will be willing to accept only a share of the games and can play in a number of positions. A really good addition for a free signing in my opinion.

I admit to my part in formation of the Voronin Fan Club (/Support Group) though. He is now a bit too popular on here

Cheyrou v Lazio you mean? I'm afraid I got stung as a result of that performance. I ended up looking a proper ****.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yeah for some reason I always get that wrong

I remember really thinking he might have turned a corner after he scored against Chelsea that time

Me too. I had similar feelings after he scored a good 'un at Wolves. In fact I think those goals may have come in that little burst he had - he also scored against Newcastle in the Cup, I think.

Well, the first few yards are in the head and he certainly seems to have that. He not lightning quick but he seems to read the game well and reacts quickly which makes him seem quicker than he is.

He's like the anti-Cisse in that respect.

If anything he looked to me like a better Kuyt in that he had the speed to get past people when timing his runs, whilst the rest of his game appears to be pretty similar.

Dirk works hard but there's so many moves where we break down the middle only for him to end up running towards the right-hand corner flag because he can't get past his man. This slows the attack up so that by the time the support arrives the defence has gotten into position.

I don't think there's anything wrong with getting excited even if it is a friendly. Aren't they meant for playing fitness and tactics?

If so then he looks quite sharp already and I am looking forward to seeing him pecking out the eyes of lions and gay devils...
