No. If Artsport had keep the contract then I would. I want to see how the new changes affect the coverage. It seems DigiAlb is the way forward. Kop-al-74 will hopefully keep people informed.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostThought you bought a dish?
Thinking of getting one. Sky and Setanta packages are a ****in ripoff.

Art will have some rights that they have bought from showtime who are the ones from arabia who have bought the rights of the premiership which has put are in the cold
ART was the best value for money for converage of prem matches
now it will be digitalb and premier sport, for the lowest cost.
nova, digitalb, little bit of art, sky italia will all have coverage of the prem
i watched most liv games on Nova last season, they have good converage for liv, they aint cheap tho, something like £700 a year
but again more expense than the bargain that art was
to receive showtime it is on 7w and you would need a dish the size of a car so that is a no starter which is unfortunate
when liverpool played at home last season allot of there games were on a feed on 16e. might be the same this year, plus if they are beaming a feed for the liverpool channel more of a chance someone will find it and shareLast edited by techmob; 15-07-07, 07:33 PM.

Fair enough.Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostNo. If Artsport had keep the contract then I would. I want to see how the new changes affect the coverage. It seems DigiAlb is the way forward. Kop-al-74 will hopefully keep people informed.
Just a general question: how big a dish would I need to get all LFC games, league and CL without having to pay a sub of some kind? - a one off payment for a card would be fine as long as it's within reason.I hate Polanski

.8m will be fine but you'll need to buy the Premiere pack on Digialb I reckon. Expensive. That's if you want English comms. PM Kop-al-74 Niall as he knows his stuff.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostFair enough.

Don't care about the comms. Just want the pictures. Been having a look at the Duet 200 1.1m: http://www.brymar.co.uk/acatalog/Com...Systems_2.htmlOriginally posted by Red_Al_77 View Post.8m will be fine but you'll need to buy the Premiere pack on Digialb I reckon. As philred said earlier there's no PremPlus this year - it went as part of the shakeup which saw Sky lose its monopoly of live Premier matches.Originally posted by Chrono View PostAm I right in thinking that if I want to watch every live game of Liverpool from home this season I will have to:
- Pay minimum £30 a year for Premier Plus
- Pay minimum £30 a month for Sky Sports channels
- Pay £10 a month for Setanta for LFCTV
Which works out about £42.50 a month and I will still not get to see every match?
If you have Sky Sports, Setanta Sports & LFC TV then that covers all Liverpool's Premier & CL matches, although not all will be live. You won't necessarily get all our Carling & FA Cup matches.
The options for subscribing to Setanta are rather confusing as there are 3 different ways you can get it on TV (Freeview, Sky or Virgin Media) & either the price or the channels you get are different with each option.
Here's what you get with each:
Freeview (you need a Freeview box with a card slot)
Channels: Setanta Sports only & not LFC TV
Cost: £9.99 a month & I believe you have to pay for the subscription card as well although I'm not sure what it costs
Sky
Channels: All Setanta channels including LFC TV
Cost: £9.99 a month
Virgin Media
Channels: All Setanta channels except Setanta Ireland & Racing World. Not sure whether you get LFC TV or not - best to check with Virgin/Setanta first
Cost: £15 a month
There is also a £10 connection fee for each of the 3 options & you don't have to sign up to a contract, but subscribe month by month.
You can also subscribe to Setanta by broadband which gives you Setanta Sports 1 & 2 & Setanta Golf, but again not LFC TV & costs £7.99 a month or £79.99 for a year.
The full list of Setanta channels is:
- Setanta Sports 1
- Setanta Sports 2
- Setanta Ireland
- Setanta Golf
- North American Sports Network (NASN)
- Racing UK
- Racing World
- Celtic TV
- Rangers TV
- LFC TV (Starts September)
Apparently certain Irish sports events on Setanta Ireland are blocked from transmission in the UK because Setanta does not have the rights to show them here.
Setanta have a useful (but hard to find) graphic of the different options on their website HERE
Hope this helps

virgin have reduced their price down to 9.99 a month for the setanta package. however, for those of you that have virgin, their is a little box called the Eurovox which you can get off ebay for about £140. plug this into your virgin cable and you recieve all the broadcast channels and only have to pay for the basic ackage - approx £5 a month.........................of course i am only repeating what i have been told ;-)in january we were doomed.
in august we will rise from the ashes of ****e and march on again
