didnt know hed played there before But ive been thinking myself that i`d put him at left back til johnny rockets or warnock are fit. We cant afford to drop any points at the start of this season, but we will, and have, with aurelio playing left back. Dont get me wrong, I like aurelio in the fact his free kicks, vision and passing are absolutely 1st class. But his defending is abysmal. Only problem is, carra and paletta are injured, so who to put in the middle?
I think for now weve no option but to persevere with aurelio at left back and just hope someone gets fit, and quick

I didn't know Paletta was injured. That doesn't half leave us short of options if Sami or Agger get hurt on international duty.

From the pre-season games, it's quite obvious that Hobbs and Peltier are probably 18 months away from challenging for a first team place.

Yeah, hobbs surprised me too in pre-season. still needs a lot more time to develop. nowhere near ready for the 1st team yet. Still think hes got a good chance of making it though from what ive seen in the reserves

would be great to have warnock back for the derby. knows how to battle that lad. Also a far better footballer than a lot of people on here give him credit for.

The other two young Centre Halves Rafa brought in could make it as well - Godwin Antwi and Miki Roque. We've certainly got some potential there. In fact, Antwi might just be the one.

Hes a beast that antwi mate isnt he, built like an ox. Roque is very good at reading the game, and tidy on the ball too. Theres some proper ****-off talent there now in the reserves. wether they can make the next step is up to them, but for the 1st time in donkeys years, most of them have the potential to.

Theres been nothing put out about why paletta is injured. unless ive missed it, but ive seen nothing in the echo or on the offal, so i presume its just a little knock from training
