true about arbeloa, maybe thsi should be renamed the Josemi effect!
If Sami goes then can see Palletta getting a few games, but he is very raw and a liability.

i am confident that arbeola will do the business for us he has had 10 games and only looked shaky the last few but has had a couple of stormers as well.

As for paletta i would worry about him starting think he definitey needs a season on loan

Arbeloa is fine, I have faith in him. Palletta id have reservations about but then didnt really count him as I dont think Rafa does either.

No way. Momo arrived as an unknown quantity for £5m and surpassed all expectations. In his first season he was practically perfect and clearly the first name on Rafa’s teamsheet, even before Gerrard. Remember Gerrard got pushed out right basically to accommodate Momo. His distribution isn’t the greatest at the minute but if you remember at the start of last season before he wrecked his arm it was much improved, so he’s obviously capable. If we had let him go for £10m I really think we’d regret it big style in years to come. His value has surely more than doubled under Rafa?

I dissagree with the Pennant Knockers.He is one of the most improved players of the last 6 monthes imo.

Momo just needs to sort out his fckin passing.Frustrating as hell.

I have to admit,i don't get to overly excited when i see Kuyts name on the teamsheet.But i do appreciate the job he does for the team.Hopefully he will get a more forward roll and really show us his eye for goal.

Disagree with anybody putting Pennant's or Sissoko's name forward. My one concern is central defence. Sami is class, but getting old. Paletta scares me and Arbeloa ... let's just say that Rafa's right back signings have followed a similar pattern.

how that guy ever played for us is beyond belief


against Bolton at home in the league cup, we had just pulled it back to 1-1 with minutes remaining...........and he goes and tackles a bolton player in the area ( a player that was facing away from goal) and gives away the winning penalty


thankfully we have no one who instils that kind of fear in our squad at the moment

Over thge last few seasons I have cringed when seeing firstly Diao, Diouf and Cheyrou in the starting line ups.....

Then the biggest liability, and possibly the King of Liabilities was Traore. Whenever i stepped into Anfield and saw the squad warming up and Traore in th starting 11 I got a bad feeling.

Since him it must have been Cisse and Zenden - was never too confident when either of them played.

The squad appears to be much stronger BUT with the exception of Yossi, none of our new lads have played in the Prem and may need some adjusting. I have never seen Babel at all!

I also think the signing of Yossi is great, because he needs no adapting and I think will look like an even better player with some of the quality we already have

I think there is a big difference between Zenden and the likes of Traore/Diao/Joasmi etc. Bolo was a decent player, even a good one when on form, and you could count on him not doing something silly. With the other lads there was allways the possibilty of a disaster happening.
